Brian was a wonderful husband to me and a loving devoted father to Tom, Megan and Brian. He had N.S.I.P., a rare form of lung disease. He never complained or felt sorry for himself but kept busy whilst he waited for a lung transplant. He had the lung transplant and although it was initially successful problems occurred and he passed away peacefully in the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne, on 22nd June 2014. He had a great sense of humour and loved nature and wildlife. Being on his fishing boat was one of his greatest pleasures. We think of him every day and wish that he could be with us. We miss him so much and hope that this fund helps to raise money for other people with lung disease to help them overcome their illnesses.
